Little moments...

I took hundreds of pictures in December. There were so many big moments to capture. Holiday Hoopla. Christmas decorating. Present opening. (And a brand new camera to play with).

And now in January... the flip-side of life. A month where we appreciate the smaller, quieter moments. Living the little moments with the same appreciation as the big ones. What makes a life is the little moments in between the big ones. Learning to let these moments have big importance. We've been doing a lot of "enjoying the little things" in January. Soaking up every milestone reached by our two little boys. New words, new discoveries... and even celebrating an almost four-year old who has graduated to "peeing while standing up!" Yup... it's definitely the little things. :)

Like two weekends in a row of freshly baked Chocolate chip muffins. Nothing better on a cozy Sunday evening after a warm bath.

Dance parties in the basement. One request to the grandparents when it comes to birthday gift shopping during the next month and a half.... we have enough musical instruments in our house... ;)

Movie nights. The obsession with the Chipmunk movies continues... (I did, however, manage to get Brandon to watch 30 minutes of American Idol with me yesterday).

Breakfast for supper. Somebody found the toaster one night and insisted on Eggo waffles...

Hamburgers and chocolate shakes. (Winter and comfort food obviously go hand-in-hand in our house!) I should mention that with Cody having to work a lot of evenings right now, meals that are easy and don't take a lot of work just make life much easier for me!

Lots of cuddles, lots of books, lots of gazing out the window at our little snow globe. And lots of this...

...Stay tuned. Some of those "big" moments to come. Because this week, we're having a birthday...
