Swimming Lessons 2014
Brandon started swimming lessons this past weekend, and he is a fan. This is his second year of lessons, but his first year in the pool by himself. Last year we had to get in with him, and he was much more interested in playing than actually learning anything so I was very curious to see how he would handle it this time around without Mommy in the pool with him.
He loved it. He was a little hesitant when his instructor told them to first walk across the pool when they got in. He knows that pools get deeper, and he wasn't sure he'd be able to touch when he reached the other end. Once he discovered he could, he was a happy fishy.
He also ended up being the most talkative kiddo in his class, and whenever his teacher asked them to put their ears in the water and listen for the fish, he popped back up and shouted, "I don't hear any fish!"
Working on his ice cream scoop hands...
His favorite part of the lesson was scooping up the rings. He refused to put his whole face in the water, but hopefully by the end of the six weeks, he'll have that mastered, too.
When we were all done, he told me he had so much fun and couldn't wait to do it again. Jaden starts lessons in a couple of weeks, forcing us to spend three days a week at the pool.
We are more than ready for summer!
