"a portrait of each of my children, once each week, in 2015"

Jaden: Here he is on his last day of first grade last week, and boy did he finish the year strong. At his awards assembly, he received awards for math (can't be our kid), sight words, academic progress, leadership and for being the only first grader from all five sections to have perfect attendance all school year. He also was presented with a certificate from a police officer for his perfect attendance on his last day of school. He was so excited to head off to the "school agers" building at daycare this week and has a fun summer ahead of him. And he's already getting a tan!

Brandon: We made a family stop at a park yesterday afternoon after grabbing lunch at Subway. While Daddy and Jaden played basketball on the courts, this one picked flowers before taking his usual spot on a swing. A superman cape and a dandelion bouquet. Love him. We finished registration for kindergarten last week, and there were two forms in the packet that asked for a student signature. There he sat at the kitchen table with pen in hand, and he looked so grown up and proud signing and dating his "paperwork." It was an adorable moment, with big brother looking on and trying to help when he'd get stuck on how to write the date. These seemingly small milestones create everlasting memories. Love being their mom.
