This holiday is so fun to photograph. Sparklers and water balloons and silly string fights and family.
On the afternoon of the 4th, as I was in the kitchen and making sure we had everything ready to go for our party, Cody was mowing our yard. But after he finished with ours, he decided to serve our neighbors on the holiday, too, and mow the yards both to our east and our west. In gratitude, Tristan and his family gave us some more fun fireworks to play with that night, and Austin and Kristie brought over beer for Cody and candy for the kids. I looked out the kitchen window at one point during the grass cutting to spot Brandon sitting in this little wooden chair he'd moved from our deck, eating his candy from Austin, watching Daddy work. He made quite the picture.
Silly string fights. This right here - the first squirt out of the bottle - accidental money shot. Photographers live for shots like this. Even us amateurs. ;)
Dasher came to our house for the first time to join in on the party. He was such a good boy the whole time and made baby Ivy laugh and giggle throughout the night whenever she spotted him from her stroller or someone's lap.
Red, white and blue water balloons that could be filled up 100 at a time. Another wonderful Target find.
Two nights worth of sparklers. You can't take just one (or two or three) pictures.
Family pictures with the tripod.
And that's a wrap.
