"a portrait of each of my children, once each week, in 2015"

Jaden: Labor Day weekend wasn't too bad for this kiddo. He spent all day Saturday playing at Jack's house, followed by an evening at Pepper's - staying up much past his bedtime to watch the UNI football game on the big TV's. Sunday was spent on the pontoon and the river and Monday was for video games and a really, really good football practice. A good weekend after a great first week of second grade.

Brandon: We've been enjoying his nightly reading homework, taking video of him almost every evening as he reads aloud because he has the cutest and sweetest inflection in his voice as he reads. He's so passionate about his reading and so adorable in the middle of it that Papa Bob came over Friday night just to have a chance to read with him for an hour. And then tonight? I found him over in Tristan's backyard playing croquet with Tristan's dad Luke and Luke's friend Andrew. While Jaden and Tristan were playing basketball in our driveway, my little five year old was learning croquet from the adult men. He's always full of surprises!
