"a portrait of each of my children, once each week, in 2015"

Jaden: His second football game this past Saturday and his second touchdown of the year on the second play of the game. Last week - he scored at wide receiver. This week - as the running back. He took a handoff from the quarterback and ran it all the way down field for the score. In fact, he would have had a second touchdown in the game, but his flags fell off all by themselves and the ref wouldn't let the touchdown stand. After his score, one of the dads turned to me and said, "That kid's got wheels!" We think back often to his first year of soccer as a four year old - always at the top of the height charts for his age, he was an awkward, uncoordinated and extremely slow runner when he first started out. He's now growing into his body and we are having so much fun cheering him on.

Brandon: Such a poser. He told Jaden before his first football game, as Daddy and Jaden were heading out on the field for warm-ups, "Bye Jaden. No pressure." The lines that come out of this kid's mouth as a five-year old has us laughing on a daily basis as we listen in awe at his quickness and wit.
