"a portrait of each of my children, once each week, in 2017"

Jaden: We're two weeks into baseball season and week night practices with the first game just a few weeks away. You're hitting the ball really well in practice, but only time will tell how that translates once game time rolls around. You're really excited for school this week because it's "Museum School Week," which means special field trips every morning. You had to give a speech in front of your class last week, and you keep saying that school is getting a little harder. I can't believe we're close to having a fourth grader!

Brandon: You make us so proud! Your grade did a service project last week, decorating special placemats for a local nursing home. Ms. Kimpston requested that if anyone wanted to go with the teachers to deliver the placemats in person, they should write a letter to the teachers as to why they should be chosen. Not only did you take the opportunity to throw your name into the mix, your letter won the recognition for your class and you get to go to the nursing home after school today with all the first grade teachers! Proud of your heart and proud of your passion for so many different things.
