Let the ride begin again...

I tend to get a little sentimental on New Year's Eve. Time goes so fast and can bring with it so much change. And with a new year just hours away, I feel slightly fearful and anxious... and ever so hopeful. There are prayers in my heart for 2013. Prayers I am praying with all my might. Dreams I have for our young family that I so desparately want to come true. Big changes ahead that will bring about a new way of life. Our kids are growing up. Jaden will start school fulltime. We don't even know where yet. Brandon will be starting preschool. I will throw away the last diaper and cut my daycare bill in half. These are all necessary milestones, but they come with their share of worry and decisions and timing. Right now, I feel like our life is all about timing.

And though I am filled with a new sense of anxiousness that I can't shake, I look back on 2012 with so much thankfulness. God was so good to us. I love my job more than I ever thought could be possible. When I look at how perfectly God fit me into this company with these people in the role that I have... He knows me so well, and He was so faithful this year. Our kids are growing beautifully. They are so funny and are so different from each other and keep me on my toes constantly. Cody had a great year at work, and his disease remains under control without the need for medicine right now. I know that probably won't always be the case... so I'm thankful for the time we're in right now. There have been challenges and disappointments and bumps in the road, but I have to say that this has been our best year yet. I am fearful of change right now, but also know we need it in order to move forward and keep growing. So here we go on another journey, and I know we're not going it alone.
