Jaden: You have a big week ahead. A basketball tournament near Omaha this weekend - and a trip with your 5th grade class to the Des Moines capitol on Monday - before finally wrapping up your school year next week and officially becoming a 6th grader. I can't believe we just have one year left until junior high!

Brandon: You finished your track season last weekend with three more top finishes and some new hardware for your bedroom wall. And then you told me that you'd rather play baseball again next spring and summer and spent part of your Memorial Day weekend hitting balls in the backyard. :)

Kaitlyn: This is classic you! This is your signature cheesy smile when you're super happy, and we just love it. You have been such a stinker lately. You have decided it's pretty funny to spit food out across the table at people whenever you've decided you're full or don't want anymore. We did discover that you love mac and cheese this weekend. Who doesn't? :)

Easter Weekend || Part 2

We woke up to an absolutely beautiful Easter Sunday and even had some time to take pics before church!

I just love these. Kaitlyn was an absolute doll for the camera, and she looked picture perfect all day long in her pretty pink, flowery Easter dress. She was a vision and a show stopper - especially at church! ;)

We must have timed everything just right because the day flowed perfectly. Kaitlyn enjoyed the worship music to kick off the service and then slept in my arms during the entire teaching. We then ventured out to Grandpa Don and Grandma Alda's with the whole gang, including my parents, for our traditional Easter day on the farm. Kaitlyn played, ate some lunch, soaked up some sunshine... and then slept the afternoon away from the comfort of the fresh air and the shade of her stroller.

The kids all had fun with the Easter egg hunt - but most of all, our boys enjoyed hours of driving that beloved golf cart around, while the adults watched from the deck, drinks in hand and chocolate nearby.

It was a good, good weekend - and the perfect first Easter memory with our Kaitlyn girl.
