Halloween 2020 || Our Sweet Little Honeybee

All last summer our sweet little Kaitlyn was obsessed with bumble bees. Only in her eyes, every bug was a bumble bee - ant, fly, bee, insect -- all of them were bumble bees. :) So when I spotted this costume on my hunt for the perfect getup for our girl, I knew this one had to be a front runner. And then I actually let her choose - between this one and another one - and she chose, of course, the bumble bee outfit.

So when one gorgeous Saturday October night fell upon us, we strolled the UNI campus in full costume with efforts to capture our girl in her costume and all her glory. We never know what Halloween night will actually be like as it relates to weather, and nothing is more depressing than having the cutest costumes covered up in coats and hats. So... I always make sure to take costume pictures early to make sure we capture some good ones!

Sis looked cute as can beeeee strolling through campus and was pretty proud of herself and her little bumble bee wand. And the UNI onlookers that saw her buzzing by? Well, let's just say she could have stopped a live Panther in its tracks... ;)

October 2020 Memories

Another favorite month of the year, and this girl right here LOVES pumpkins! It was so cute to spend the month of October with her - hearing her excitement every time we drove by a house with a pumpkins on its front stoop. ;) And she got REALLY into Halloween without even understanding what the holiday is yet. :)

Memories of our Fall month below... in pictures...

One of my favorite pictures of my three - currently framed and sitting on my desk beside my computer so I can smile at it all day every day.

Cody and Jaden had basketball practice one Saturday morning so I took Kaitlyn and Brandon to the new downtown plaza for donuts... and then followed it up with the newest pumpkin patch experience in our community. It was a GREAT morning, and Kaitlyn looked a picture in her pretty Fall dress and cute brown boots. I'm looking forward to making weekend donuts on the plaza a regular thing this spring and summer now that the plaza construction is completed.

And this new and somewhat hidden gem! Right in the heart of our community near downtown and the river, Kaitlyn and Brandon both loved the experience, and I had a great time picking out some unique and quirky pumpkins to add to our collection. You can never have too many pumpkins. ;)

Revving her engine with a hiked up dress and that cute blonde hair. :)

She was insistent on pushing the wheelbarrows around even though she could barely see over them and they were a bit heavy for her.

And of course, our annual trip through Hartman during peak leaf color season.

Halloween pictures to come!
