'Oh TWOdles!' -- Celebrating Kaitlyn's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated our precious girl's 2nd birthday with all of her favorite things, activities and people - Minnie Mouse style! I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect gifts for her, planning the prettiest cake, and hoping for the brightest sunshine to celebrate her with.

The big surprise first thing on the morning of her day - this beautiful kitchen and all of its accessories.  I was so excited to reveal this to her, and her reaction did not disappoint. Several months later, our Katie girl loves this kitchen, and we love playing pretend right alongside her. It was extra fitting that Mommy and daughter both got new kitchens in the same month. ;) 

After presents and donuts, it was time to take her outside - one of her favorite things to do as a two year old. With two boys born in the winter, it's nice to have one summer birthday to enjoy. We took her to one of her favorite parks and explored the waterfront. If we had stopped there, she would have been just as happy... but then we had a party, of course!

After her afternoon nap, we had our families over for a Hot Diggity Dog bar and lots of other Mickey and Minnie themed appetizers, snacks and treats. Little miss received lots of really nice gifts, and she couldn't have been sweeter when it was time to blow out her candles (with the help of her big brother, Brandon). It was a sweet and simple yet festive day full of love and gratitude for our favorite girl.
