July Happy Things
I am very excited to sink my teeth into Fall and am thankful for open windows, cozy knits at night, pumpkin bread on the table and pumpkins on my mantle. But first - a look back at some summer because as usual these days, I'm really behind on sharing our stories!
Happy things from the month of July. We beat the heat when and where we could and tried to enjoy the longer days while we had them.
|| This $7 pool from Walmart for when we wanted an easy swim at home instead of packing up and heading to The Falls. We loved this pool and would fill it with hose water in the morning, making for the perfect water temperature by late afternoon or evening. The pool is big enough to hold all of our kids comfortably... and the cousins when they would choose to wander up the street for a visit. ;)
...and when it was SO hot that we just wanted to soak our feet before bed. With pizza in hand of course. ;)
|| A blooming landscape and the start of a wildflower garden in the backyard.
|| Kaitlyn's first trip to the petting zoo. She liked the chickens - the boys liked the goats, per usual.
|| Evenings by the water whenever we could. These are my favorite nights, especially when we're blessed with a double rainbow on the way home. It was the most vivid, gorgeous rainbow I had ever seen!
|| A small golf tournament for Brandon. I walked the course with iced coffee, Papa Bob played caddy, and Daddy and Jaden were there for moral support. ;)
|| This pink car has gotten a lot of use on our evening walks, and my favorite part is watching Kaitlyn wave at the neighbors as we walk by. :)
|| Kathy gifted us with this small sand box for Kaitlyn's birthday after discovering how much she likes playing in the sand at daycare.
|| The start of football nights in the backyard - also some of my favorite nights.
|| Brandon and Kaitlyn on this tree swing. Some of my favorite pictures of summer. She is so sweet and content when she gets to rock with her big brother under the breeze.
