Kaitlyn Renee... today you are two years old. Two years of loving you immensely, watching you fill in all the missing pieces of our family and our hearts. You were destined to be - written in the stars - envisioned for our family from the very beginning... before we even knew of you. There's just no other way to put into words how we feel about you. You have made all of us whole - your daddy - your brothers - and your mommy. We each have this special connection with you that's all our own, and the amount of joy you bring to us couldn't have come from anyone else. We love you - your spunk, your sweetness, your laughter, your smarts, your cuteness. Gosh are you cute.

I grew up dreaming of having a daughter, and not only did God answer my prayers, but He knew just what He was doing when he matched me with you. I see so much of myself in you already. You're both princess and tomboy - you love baby dolls and clothes and makeup - but you also love digging for worms and watching garbage trucks and playing with "baketballs." Your favorite show is Blippy, you've recently shown enjoyment from watching Winnie the Pooh - always getting the giggles when Tigger comes on - and you love looking at Princess books. You take good care of your dolls, like to build towers with your blocks, and LOVE to be outside. You could swing for hours and hours - especially when it's close to bedtime. You love looking up - to the moon. Chipmunks are your favorite animal right now, and you have no fear of catching bugs - which you affectionately call "bumble bees" no matter how small.
You love parks, splashing in the fountains at the pool, and walking to your cousin Ivy's house. You don't like baths much anymore but definitely prefer when Mommy is the one to give them to you, though you call yourself a "Daddy's girl" and give him the best hugs of any of us.
Your eating habits are hit and miss. Supper time is the hardest, and we always make sure to have fruit and veggie pouches on hand just to ensure that you get some nutrients before bed. You like applesauce and fruit bars in the morning, enjoy your Saturday "do-dos" (donuts), like chicken nuggets and taco meat, could eat an entire bag of yogurt melts in one sitting... and yes... still take warm milk bottles before bed. You can't seem to quit them, and you're my baby, so I haven't even tried at all to make you stop.
You're talking so well. You can almost always communicate what you want, though sometimes you get SUPER impatient in doing so. One could say you're a bit of a diva. :) You have been able to fully count to 10 for quite a while now, and you can sing a good portion of the ABCs. You're super excited to be turning two because in your mind you've been two for quite some time now. ;) You have such good friends at daycare - Charlie is your favorite - and you adore your big brothers.
We're so thankful for you. And I'm so very excited for what's to come. Though it's going too fast, and I wish I could keep you at this age for a long, long time, I'm also excited to continue to watch you grow into this amazing girl that you are. He broke the mold when He made you, punkin. I love you Katie-girl. To the moon.
