Fall 2018 || From the Phone

I'm ready to move on to twinkly lights and holiday memories but first - a lot of pictures to share from my phone this past fall. I still use my professional-grade camera more than anything and still love it dearly but with a baby in my arms most of the time, sometimes the phone camera just has to do the trick. And it does! Some of my favorite pictures lately have come from the phone.

|| Kaitlyn's first football watch party. This doll was her mommy's when I was little. I just love her little game face. ;)

|| The day the town flooded for about two hours. Our house sits elevated, which we are grateful for, but the street right in front of us frequently gets backed up when it rains a lot.

|| So many hours at the football fields. And a baby sit getting used to it all. Dressing her is my favorite.

|| Front porch hangs and a third grader that thought juggling should be his act for this year's school talent show. He has since moved on to other things. ;)

|| New house plants... (and constant frustration from Lucy cat trying to eat them all).

|| Sweet baby moments and a very sleepy football coach.

|| Studying the offense at the breakfast table and practicing our cursive on the couch!

|| When she sleeps in and I get to watch her sleep in the morning sunlight.

|| Mornings with my crew.

|| And after school reading homework in one of our favorite rooms.

|| Teaching Kaitlyn all about picking out the perfect mums and pumpkins.

|| Win or lose, let there be tutus. ;)

|| That perfect September weather... and the fact that I didn't kill my mums until almost Thanksgiving this year!

|| The fact that the boys are now both old enough to play board games without my constant interference.

|| Hello, October...

|| ...and hello, basketball season! And welcome back, Seth! It was fun having breakfast with you! ;)

|| Mints tossed from Papa during football games.

|| ... and field turf stuck to our helmet and face after a VERY rainy game held under the lights.

|| Her first Disney princess shirt. I can't wait for all the Disney things with her. ;)

|| Watch parties with our families. Lots of food, candles and togetherness.

|| Her very first trip to the UNI-Dome. Not to watch the Panthers - but watch her brother!

|| Cool afternoons good for outdoor play and hot cocoa at night.

|| He won the fire poster award for third graders and got a surprise visit from a few CF Firemen!

|| Soaking up the nights before daylight savings. That blue sky, those pretty fall colors... and no snow. ;)

|| Her very first basketball tournament and it was a late one! She did so well!

|| We grill a lot in the summers, but in the fall and winter, we have fun trying new recipes. We loved these stuffed peppers!

|| Early PSC board meetings in the Dome and another year as co-chair and Team Captain.

|| And our adopted outdoor kitty always looking for a hand out. ;)

|| Our third year with this crew - our "Outlaw family" - watching these players and siblings all grow up together is such a joy.

|| Her first UNI basketball game! And a big thank-you to UNI Athletics for creating a private "Mother's Room" right there on the McLeod Center concourse.

|| Church mornings with the family. Kaitlyn and I typically spend them in the Mother's Room, also. ;)
